ALL RIGHT!!  In case you haven't been following my posts on Magic's Facebook page and my own, here's a recap!

1.  On
June 16th, I weighed 310 POUNDS when I started a new healthy food plan (NOT-A-DIET!).
2.  I donated all of my canned food to the Food Bank of Alaska, threw away the rest of my food except coffee and non-fat milk.
3. Just by dumping junky food and sticking to a healthier, macrobiotics-balanced food plan  (with all foods cooked and delivered by a local company), I am down to 290 POUNDS.

I HAVE LOST 20 POUNDS IN TWO WEEKS.

The support I have received from listeners and people on Facebook has been tremendous.  Also,  my regular doctor and my spine doctor are THRILLED with my new food plan and the results so far, especially the part about it being a change in lifestyle, not a temporary diet.  Temporary diets often lead to temporary weight loss--with weight returning when you stop dieting.

Personally, I'm thrilled by feeling healthier and more energetic...and by my pants feeling looser.  :-D

And now that my spine doctor has cleared my formerly-compressed disk for light exercise and physical therapy, I have found a SECRET WEAPON...

My buddy Russell is out of town, and the person taking care of his dog just moved, so I get to watch this little girl for about a week.  I've never had a dog before, but it seems pretty basic.  Food goes in one end, poop comes out the other.  Put one in a bowl, the other in a baggie--and don't get the two mixed up.

Also involved;  lots of petting, telling her what a good girl she is, and TAKING WALKS.  So, Foxy is going to be my personal trainer as I ease back into exercise.

Okay, so she's not a PUG.  Nobody's perfect.

Have a Happy Independence Day, and a fun, safe 4th of July weekend.  Wish me luck as I continue to gain independence from the weight that has oppressed me for years.

And HAPPY BIRTHDAY, USA!  Thank you to all of our veterans past and present for their service.  I am honored and privileged to be counted among you.
