You know how two great things go great together, like peanut butter and chocolate or bagels and cream cheese--well it works for music, too!

BILLY JOEL was honored on December 8 at the Kennedy Center Honors, and it was broadcast last night.  In case you missed it, check out this piece of rock 'n' roll heaven.

DON HENLEY of the Eagles performed a song that was on Billy's first album, Cold Spring Harbor (and became a hit later with the in-concert version from Songs In The Attic).

Here is Don Henley singing "She's Got A Way."  Feel free to rock-geekout!

Since I first started buying albums, my favorite solo artist has been Billy Joel and my favorite group has been the Eagles, specifically because of Don Henley's lead vocals although all of the Eagles are great.

I was stunned when Don Henley performed "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" at the close of his last Anchorage concert at the Sullivan Arena several years ago.  Not as stunned though, as when he put his arm around my shoulder for a photo!

Next on my bucket list:  a Billy Joel concert with a meet and greet!  ROCK AND ROLL RULES!!  Happy New Year!
