Shatter the Silence. Stop the Violence. October is Domestic Violence Awareness month and the Allstate Foundation has partnered with AWAIC to shine a light on domestic violence. Allstate is hosting a donation drive the week of September 25 thru September 30th at nine participating Allstate agency locations. Your donation can help make a difference in the lives of women in Alaska. For the map of participating Allstate agents and a full list of supplies needed, visit the Allstate Northwest twitter page for more information, you can also drop off donations at the Anchorage YMCA parking lot between 2-6 pm on Saturday 9/30. The AWAIC shelter is in desperate need of the following items: Towels, diapers, hygiene items, new socks, underwear, phone cards, sleepwear, bed linens, unopened aspirin and other medical supplies.
