Congregation Beth Sholom is once again sponsoring Mitzvah Mall, a holiday gift to the Anchorage community. “Mitzvah” is Hebrew for “good deed” and the Mitzvah Mall is a non-denominational alternative gift fair. You shop in a room filled with decorative and informative tables, where 20 nonprofit organizations share their stories of the assistance they give to those in need. You give the gift of helping those agencies who help others. Performers play acoustic music as you “shop.” “Gifts” (or donations) range in price, and start at just $5.
