Light a candle to support and provide hope for Alaska’s at-risk and homeless youth currently seeking a brighter path at the annual covenant house candlelight vigil thursday, November 15th at 5:30pm downtown anchorage on f street, between 6th & 7th avenues, with a reception to follow inside Williwaw.
Help send the message of hope to our at-risk and homeless youth …light a candle, ignite a dream.
Candlelight Vigil community challenge: find a new or gently used backpack or duffle bag, collect items our youth always need like new or gently used winter gear, new bras and underwear of all sizes, new travel-size toiletries, art supplies, towel set, laundry basket, bedding (twin & twin xl) shower caddy, or shower shoes. Or you can even make a pot of soup, freeze it in gallon zip lock bags. Then bring all your items with you to the candlelight vigil. And follow or like @covenanthouseak for updates and info.
