WALK ON THE WILD SIDE, ALASKA ZOO 5OTH Anniversary Fundraiser

The Alaska Zoo is celebrating 50 years of service to the wildlife and people of Alaska. Our doors opened in 1969 and our mission continues to thrive with your support.

We are commemorating this golden anniversary with a brand new summer affair which will give you experiences of a lifetime. Our annual fundraising gala formerly known as “Feast for the Beasts” has been reinvented to a “Walk on the Wild Side” – a catered walking picnic with special animal experiences.

Join us Thursday, June 13th from 6pm to 9pm. Guests will enjoy three hours of special animal enrichment, explore the zoo through behind the scenes visits at animal habitats, discuss the animals by chatting directly with staff members and socialize while enjoying a walking picnic catered at stations throughout zoo grounds. There will be a live auction, catered desserts, drinks and games on the lawn at set times.

While the format has changed, the goal of the event is the same – to raise crucial funds for the Alaska Zoo’s General Fund, the money used to cover zoo operating expenses and animal care.

We invite you to spend this wildly elegant evening with your Alaska Zoo family! We appreciate your support. AlaskaZoo.org
