Cleaning out clutter and have new or used kids books in good condition you no longer want? Donate them and help put books in the hands of local children! The greatest need is for sturdy books for infants/toddlers. THREAD has a goal of collecting 5,000 books before July 31st. We reach that goal with your help!
DROP OFF LOCATIONS: Boxes located near the customer service desk at Fred Meyer on Abbot and Fred Meyer on Dimond, or bring books to the THREAD office at 3350 Commercial Drive
Then join us for an evening of family fun as we give the books to local children at THREAD 13th annual Book Party in the Park! This outdoor family event celebrates early learning and healthy child development. Children from infant to school-age take home free books and enjoy live music, dancing, stories, snacks, giveaways, temporary tattoos, bubbles, crafts, games, a cardboard box construction zone, and more.

LOCATION: Mt. View Garden Art Park outside the Success By 6 building on the corner of Mt. View Drive and Commercial Drive
COST: Free. Families sign in as they enter.
PARKING: Extra parking is at Clark Middle School.

ALASKA NATIVE DANCE GROUP: Alaska Native drum and dance group Acilquq will kick off the event with a performance from 4:00 – 4:20.
