This tour is for fit, experienced hikers aged 13 and older (no babies in carriers.) Weather and conditions permitting, tour participants will hike from the Arctic Valley Ski Lodge parking lot to the Lower and Upper areas of the old Nike missile site at Site Summit, approximately 5 miles, with a vertical change in elevation of approximately 1,400 feet, both ascending and descending. Friends of Nike Site Summit tour guides will share their knowledge of the site and its role in the Cold War. The event is limited to 20 hikers. Each participant is required to provide their own food and water (32 oz. of water minimum). Cost is $37.00, $35.00 for veterans, seniors and students. Registration is required.
