Ashely Tisdale's 3-year-old daughter, Jupiter, was recently introduced to fictional teenage heartthrob Troy Bolton and instantly thought he was her father.
The beloved actress appeared on the January 14 episode of Breaking Beauty, telling podcast hosts Jill and Carlene that the first time her eldest daughter watched High School Musical, she thought that Zac Efron (who portrayed Bolton in the 2006 blockbuster) was her real dad.
"About a year ago maybe, my husband showed her, and I was like, 'What are you doing?' And she thought Zac Efron was her dad. I was like, 'No! That's not daddy.' She was like, 'Daddy!' I was like, 'No, no, no! Just cause they have dark hair ... not Daddy.'"
According to Entertainment Weekly, the standout, who played Sharpay Evans in the popular film franchise, shares daughters Jupiter and five-month-old Emerson with husband Christopher French, whom she wed in 2014.
Though the 17 Again star is not Tisdale's daughter's father, the former co-stars remain great friends nearly 20 years after the release of the first HSM film. Just last year, Efron praised Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens (who portrayed Bolton's girlfriend Gabriella Montez in the award-winning trilogy) for being great mothers during an interview with Access Hollywood.
"Oh they're going to be the best moms ever, those girls. Are you kidding me? Oh my gosh. Yeah, we're going to have some fun family reunions coming up."
