BRIAN'S TOP 5 FICTIONAL DRUMMERS

posted by Brian Ross -

Hello, and welcome to a corner of my mind that I go to when I CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT TO BLOG ABOUT!!  It's also where I keep my extra capital letters.

I'm a deejay, so over the years I've gotten into many 'Top 5' discussions like the best albums, songs, singers male and female, etc..  I am also a GEEK (and proud of it), so I have done my share of John Cusack-ing when it comes to comic book heroes and movie monsters.

This list combines both.  Please enjoy...

BRIAN'S TOP 5 FICTIONAL DRUMMERS!

#5. JUGHEAD from The Archies.  Powered by burgers and sporting a beanie, he kept the two guys other guys and two girls of the band from tearing each other apart in their love quadrangle.

And unlike the redheaded frontman of the band, you can't play tic-tac-toe on the side of Jug's head.  What was up with that?

#4. THE VARIOUS DRUMMERS OF SPINAL TAP.  If you want to risk your life playing for that group and dying with the name "Stumpy," you deserve the fake honor of being on this list, as explained in this interview.

#3. 'SHADES' from The Wonders (formerly the Oneders) in the movie That Thing You Do.

Why?  Because come on... you want to play the video and hear that song right now.  It's right below and your finger is getting itchy on the mouse.
So...take us there, Skitch!

#2. MELODY from Josie and the Pussycats!  She never had a clue, but she never missed a beat.  Also, her ears would wiggle when danger was near, and her constantly snapping fingers could break magic spells.  Very useful skills in a drummer.

#1.  ANIMAL FROM THE MUPPETS!!

He's the ultimate King of the Skins!!   Actually, I think he ATE the last top guy.  Watch him drum battle the legendary BUDDY RICH.
