Biking/Hiking/Training/Living

First:  I just realized it's possible to reverse a mirror image so that it is normal again.  Duh-ooooh!

Second:  the Tour de Cure is almost here! (link)  There's still time to register and raise money for the American Diabetes Association.  Walk/run/bike, have fun, and support a great cause.  It's Sunday, August 12, with routes between 5 and 100 kilometers.   I'll be biking the Metric Century route around Anchorage (100 kilometers/63 miles).

IF YOU CAN'T RIDE, PLEASE DONATE TO YOUR FAVORITE TEAM OR RIDER!

There's more info below my photo gallery of this weekend's training I did.  I hope you like the pics and captions.  I'm still amazed at how fast and far I can ride now that I've lost so much weight.

TOUR DE CURE TRAINING RIDE!

Join your fellow Tour de Cure riders on a training ride on Sunday, August 5th.  We will be doing a 50 kilometer ride, starting at Westchester Lagoon.  It gets rolling at 9:30 am, so show up early.  Register for the Tour and join us.

I recommend you be prepared for weather (rain gear, sun block) and breakdowns (extra tube and tire pump, bike tool) just in case.  I always do.

PROMO CODES!
You might still be able to get FREE REGISTRATION.  Try using promo code 2018TOUR.  Only 5 of those were available, so try it.  With luck, you might be one of the 5.

If that code is used up, try this code for $5 off your registration (again, there are only a limited number available).  VIP5

FUND RAISING INCENTIVES

You could score some very cool swag while you helping the American Diabetes Association, from jerseys to jewelery and even a trip to Orlando!  Get details on my previous blog post. (link)
