The Anchorage Library in my POCKET! #LibraryLove

If your New Year Resolution was to save money in 2019, and you'd been planning to cut back on entertainment, you really need to check out our Anchorage Public Library (link).

I use our library every day, though I don't have to go there to do it, thanks to the Libby App.

I have a passion for audio books and used to buy them with a commercial app. To save money, I stopped using that app-- but my A-book addiction is still going strong FOR FREE with the Libby App through our library.

Our Anchorage Public Library is one library with five locations (Loussac Library, Mountain View Neighborhood Library, Muldoon Library, Chugiak-Eagle River Library, and Scott and Wesley Gerrish Girdwood Library).  You can go there for books of course, hard to find DVD's, educational workshops, to have meetings and more.

With the Libby App, it's like having a 6th location anywhere I go.  I can access audio books, E-books, and other digital media right from my Android phone.  It also works for iPhone, Kindle, Nook, and tablets.

Check out some of the titles I've listened too.  Here's a photo gallery with my brief book reviews.

And here's what's really cool... I haven't paid an extra dime!

The library card is free to residents of the Municipality of Anchorage, a service of the city of Anchorage.  The app is free, and the digital media downloaded is also free to borrow.  Even the wifi at the Library is free.  And no late fees either on digital media.  When your item is due (up to 21 days from borrow date), the loan returns automatically unless I choose to renew it.

Your first step is to get your own library card.  Click here for more info or visit AnchorageLibrary.org and get some #LibraryLove yourself!  ~Brian
