VIDEO! Mask OrIgami: How to Make Breathing Space Under Your Mask
Believe it or not, I'm actually smiling.
I haven't been able to find any facemasks when I shop, so for DIY PPE, I have pressed into service my good old dependable, durable ARMY NECK GATOR which was issued to me around 1996.
It has its flaws though-- my glasses fog up a lot depending on the temperature, no matter how far up my nose I pull it. And the best position makes my glasses loose. Yeesh.
Plus, and this is the worst part-- IT PRESSES RIGHT ON MY MOUTH and that makes speech a problem. That's why this vid was so interesting to me.
If you use one of those earloop masks, here's a great way to make an air pocket over your nose and mouth using a little MASK ORIGAMI. Enjoy!
And just in case you missed it, here's a video I made about how to properly REMOVE your gloves to avoid contaminating yourself. I used plastic bags since gloves were at a premium and being donated to first responders. ~Brian
