People are Renting their Pools By the Hour on New AirBnB-like App

With the current heat wave and public pools closing nationwide due to the pandemic, some people are taking matters into their own hands by renting out their personal pools to strangers.

The new app, Swimply is like an AirBnb for pools, where you can rent by the hour. Prices range from $30-$75 an hour. The idea is taking off in southern California, where one couple has already made $7000 renting out their pool. Right now there are 7 pools listed in Tucson and 72 in Phoenix.

Would you rent out your pool to strangers? Would you go to a stranger's house to swim in their pool??
